Czechoslovaks
in the world

The book Czechoslovaks in the World is a guide on the way to countrymen who left Communist Czechoslovakia and started a new life abroad. The seven graphic stories created by Tomáš Pánek tell in short the adventures of exceptional people who have not been lost in the world but who have succeeded in reaching far beyond the former homeland thanks to their talent, agility and courage. A distinct visual element in the typesetting and cover of the book are the initials of its protagonists. Deformed letters refer to memory, from which the stories of both the great and small history of the 20th century are slowly disappearing.
