Dlabačofest
2017
The Dlabačofest film festival shows Academy Award nominees for best international feature film. Light as the essence of cinema inspires the festival visual identity. Just as the spotlights illuminate actors and set during a filming, and just as during a screening the projector illuminates the screen and the screen in turn the audience's faces, so does a beam of light focus on the graphic outputs and picks out their textual or visual parts. The color toning of the visual identity is based on cyanotype, the historical photographic technique that uses the light sensitivity of iron salts and produces cyan-blue prints. Sun printing and light effects in general thus determine the overall concept of the visual presentation.
