dok.incubator 2020

The international workshop dok.incubator is intended for documentary filmmakers whose films are in the rough cut stage. Consultations with experienced mentors (established directors, producers, etc.) will help authors to complete their films within six months and prepare them for distribution or screening at film festivals.

The visual style of the 9th workshop conceptualizes the working field of the workshop as an athletic oval. The sports metaphor is used loosely, in the spirit of "it is not important to win, but to participate". The main motif of the visual style is the detail of the running track numbers numbers and also their different surfaces. The eight tracks represent eight diverse films in progress, and rather than creating a competitive environment, the workshop guides participants to their individual goals.
