The dok.incubator international workshop is designed for documentary filmmakers whose projects are in the rough cut stage. Throughout the several-month program, participants are guided by experienced mentors toward the completion of their films — from the initial rough cut to the final version, which is subsequently premiered at international film festivals and enters global distribution.
The visual style of the 13th edition once again connects the main theme with exaggeration and humor. This time, the theme is portrayed through 3D visual elements representing supermarket groceries. The filmmaker selects individual products — parts of the film — for their "perfect purchase," which in the final stage ends up in a bag and is carried out of the store as a finished whole.
Instead of standard names, the individual products feature filmmaking slogans. Through these slogans, a complex visual and linguistic system is created, metaphorically representing both the themes and the core idea of the entire project.
