An exhibition dedicated to a very important and long railway line crossing the Czech Republic, starting in Vienna and stretching all the way to Dresden, welcomed its visitors for more than four months in the Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky u Prahy. The thematically extensive exhibition was accompanied by exhibition panels on which texts, period photographs, as well as paintings, prints, clothing and other small objects were interconnected. The entire visual style of the exhibition refers to the morphology of visual communication of railway transport, from which it also draws inspiration - it uses the basic shapes of railway traffic signs, which also served for navigation in the exhibition spaces of the gallery. The colourful symbolism of the signs not only attracted the attention of the visitors to the gallery and its surroundings, but also clearly referred to the theme of the exhibition itself and made its title – From Vienna to the North – more explicit.
