Light Falls Vertical

The documentary debut Light Falls Vertical (original title: Ara la llum cau vertical) by the director of Greek origin, Efthymia Zymvragaki, who currently lives and works in Barcelona, Catalonia, had its world premiere at the IDFA 2022 festival in Amsterdam, where it was nominated in the "Best First Feature”.

A sensitive personal drama, hiding two life stories - Ernest and the author of the documentary herself - which unexpectedly intersect with each other. Ernesto wants to talk about the violence he carries inside him. Efthymia accepts the challenge to explore the split personality of this malicious, desperate man. But she realizes that he is also the key to her deepest fears, which are reflected in the violence of her own past. Now his story will never be separated from hers (excerpt from synopsis).

As part of the preparations for the promotion of the film, a poster was created in several language mutations (English, Spanish, Catalan), accompanying printed materials, a press kit or outputs for social networks and a trailer. The central font of the document is the Bulevar font from the Spanish typeface atipo foundry, which underlines the very title of the document with its verticality.
