My Street Films is a Czech film-education project that has been helping emerging creators discover their own voice through short documentaries since 2014. The emphasis on a personal perspective and working with reality is also reflected in its new identity.
The visual concept is based on the motif of a “fragment” — a piece that represents a detail, moment, or idea, and comes together to form a final whole: the film. This principle mirrors both the creative process and the search for one’s own story. A key role is played by the Coxx typeface from Displaay Type Foundry, whose geometry and use of spacing allow text to be split and reassembled. Typography thus becomes an active visual element of the entire identity. The idea of fragmentation is also reflected in the use of imagery — functioning as a crop or frame for photography and video, or creating abstract compositions. The identity is an open system that evolves according to the content, allowing for various approaches and interpretations. Just like the project itself, which gives space to new voices and shows that even a small idea can grow into a powerful statement.
