The main goal of OpenEye is to develop the use of primary sources of information in educational activities, especially film memories of direct participants in historical events. The OpenEye project confronts prejudices, stereotypes and racism, as well as media and propaganda manipulation of the past with specific educational activities. A website was created for this project which simultaneously reflects the theme of the past and memories. An integral part of OpenEye activities is organisation of expert seminars for teachers, creation of Czech content for the multimedia e-learning platform IWitness and the production of locally relevant multimedia walks known as IWalks. The main element of the visual identity of the website is the dot, which interactively communicates the content of the website - both in the sense of a triple dot (an ellipsis) after the word in the introduction, or as the mouse cursor itself in the desktop version. The animation of the individual elements plays a major role in making the entire content of the site easier to understand and acts as a kind of guide when browsing the site, based on the word “Open”. To ensure the distinctive character of the headings of the individual parts of the website, the FUD grotesk font is used, which finds inspiration in brutalism and therefore reflects the mood of the last century.
