A 10 km long educational trail around the city of Ústí nad Orlicí, officially opened on April 9, 2026. It presents the history of the Sudetenland border and events around 1938 in an attractive form.
We wanted to connect the visual style of the trail with the visual identity of the city, so we used the Zeppelin font in stencil cut by typographer František Štorm, evoking the Protectorate graphic style. This created a unified system that works both in printed form and in cutouts in corten or in the form of sprays on asphalt. The main graphic motif is a “cut” map of the trail with 10 stations, which forms the basis of 10 “logotypes” of individual stops. For example, when you are at the 2nd stop, you see a cutout of the map with this point and the path you just took to reach the given stop point – the same principle is repeated at each stop. We designed the color scheme to connect the graphics on dibond with the natural color of the corten elements.
