The international exhibition What If I Hypnotize You?, held at Bold Gallery, presented the latest works by painters from Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Belgium. It built on their previous collaborations while placing them in a new context. The exhibition was centered on figurative painting, drawing viewers into multilayered narratives and ambiguous situations.
As all of the participating artists worked with the figure (not only the human figure) in their practice, the figurative motif was also reflected in the exhibition’s visual identity. An inverted silhouette, standing with raised arms, playfully “hypnotizes” the viewer with its eyes. A catalogue was produced for the exhibition as well, bound with a fastener clip that allows the cards dedicated to each artist to be arranged in any order. In this way, every artist is given equal space to present their work.
